At a recent party I was introduced to tvcatchup.com, specifically the iPhone version at iphone.tvcatchup.com, this amazing website lets you view a growing selection of freeview channels through your iPhone over 3G or Wifi.
Given the large amount of WiFi connections available, this almost seems to good to be true.
In practice the site works nearly flawlessly, channels occasionally become unavailable however thats easiliy forgivable considering what they are actually achieving.
Legally speaking I was dubious however the site appears to be run through a solicitors office and I suspect if anyone they would know the law. Visiting their site its clear beyond shadow of doubt that you must have a TV License. Through their website (which you do need to register for) you can however view 25+ freeview channels.
I may never do any work ever again.
