August – Niki’s updates

August has flown by !  Matthew and I went out geocaching and found three around the Rodden Road area of Frome, still a few hundred to go for the Frome ones though and we have vowed to go and do some more together.  The iPhone done very well with accuracy, definitely a good weapon of choice for the cacher.

This coming Thursday I will be doing my first paid wedding photo shoot for an old colleague from work, just really making the the batteries are thoroughly charged up and running through my head the logistics of making sure I am in the right place at the right time.  They have kindly provided a schedule of events and the main challenge is going to be the weather (as always!) and crowd control.  They are expecting up to 80 guests so its just making sure all sides of the family and friends get the shots they want. Good time to decide if I do want to do this on the side.

My writing on girlgamerssuck.com seems to be going well, I am still to decide if its for me, the site is going through growth but it is distracting me from some of the things I want to do. I have a Dragons Den style idea that I keep re-visiting for a website and have gone through about 3 prototypes so far so want to get my head down and focus on that for a while.

I have been learning After Effects and have done two quick intro animations as well as a full 3 minute fireworks type thing for work that I will post next week.

This months blog photos are from Kilver Court in Shepton Mallet.
